“The choir, under James’ direction, sang incredibly well throughout what was a demanding and contrasting programme, which I felt was put together so skilfully”.
“…. your soloists were excellent…. They sang not only with conviction, but, when required, with emotion and acting skills”

The choir delivered a vibrant and heartfelt performance that took the audience on a delightful journey through some of the most iconic songs from film and stage musicals. From the infectious energy of Mamma Mia and We Will Rock You to the stirring drama of The Lion King and Rocky, each number was performed with enthusiasm and precision.
ABBA’s classic Thank You for the Music, delivered by the Sopranos and Altos, was a joyful tribute to the power of song and was beautifully contrasted by the tenors and basses’ moving interpretation of Unchained Melody. Soprano soloist Grace Farrell captivated hearts with timeless show tunes from Carousel, Showboat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and My Fair Lady, each piece revealing her remarkable vocal range and stage presence.
Adding an extra layer of brilliance, the Stait family and Rose Mallett brought depth and drama to medleys from Les Misérables and West Side Story, showcasing their remarkable talent and chemistry.
It was an evening filled with nostalgia, talent, and passion—a true celebration of musical theatre and film.
Richard, representing Edward's Trust, spoke movingly about the work of the Trust in supporting bereaved parents, children and young people. An amazing £1212.00 was raised through donations on the night and online, providing vital funds for the charity to continue delivering its counselling services and holistic support to grieving families.
